Make 5 000 a Month With Micro Niche Sites

$5,000 a month. Sounds too good to be true right? Recently I have discovered the amazing benefits of starting up a micro niche site. One of the most amazing things about these websites are that they are very easy to create, rank and maintain. As long as you find a good keyword and make an effective website, then you can make some serious money online as a teen or college student with this method. Lets get started!

Keyword Research
This is probably the most important step in the process. You are going to want to find a keyword that has at least 1,000 exact monthly searches and has low-competition. Use the Google Keyword Tool to research some ideas. Here is an example of something youll be looking for, which has 1,300 average monthly searches and low-competition.

Domain Name
When picking out your domain name youre going to want to include your keyword in your domain. It does not have to be an "exact match domain" as EMDs have lost some credibility over the past few Google updates, but you still should have it in there somewhere. Purchase your URL and hosting (I prefer GoDaddy for this) and register your site on Wordpress. For the above example I would make my URL www.easylaptoprepairservice.com or something along those lines.

Content
Write 5 well-written articles on your keyword, full of rich content. Over time you will look better in the eyes of Google if you continue to add articles and make it an established website. Your long-tail keywords will also rank and you will receive additional traffic for this. For this step its important that you either A.) Pick a keyword that you are knowledgeable on so you can craft good articles, or B.) Outsource your articles to another party. You can pay others to write effective articles for you for a pretty cheap price. Article writing jobs are everywhere, just do a simple Google search and read some reviews to find a quality writer.

On Page/Off-Page SEO
For on-page SEO make sure you include your keyword in your titles as well as numerous times in the body of your articles. Download various Wordpress plug-ins like The All in One SEO Plug-in and XML Sitemap and also submit your website/sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools. After you do your on-page SEO get to work on off-page SEO and get some do-follow backlinks. A great method for this is commenting on relevant blogs, submitting your website to directories and guest posting on other websites. It does not take a lot of work to rank your micro niche site as long as you picked a low-competition keyword. Once your website is ranked on the first page of Google then you can just sit back and watch money pour into your accounts.

Monetize Your Micro Niche Website
For this step there are numerous ways you can begin to collect money from your website. The most popular way is definitely Adsense, but you can also you the Amazon Affiliate Program or Clickbank if your keyword is product based. Ive read a story before on someone who created a micro-niche website on adjustable-dumbbells. He was able to take home $3,000 a month in Amazon affiliate sales and eventually sold the website on Flippa for $30,000. Not too shabby! Now, imagine having 15 micro niche sites that you have set-up. Thats some serious cash!

Conclusion
If you take the above steps and scale it up then it is definitely possible to make upwards of $5,000 a month with micro niche sites. If you want to take a look at an example of a micro niche site, take a look at Polyamide Fabric. This site alone brings me on average $10/day, but I also have several more that I am working on, so I hope to make a lot more with this method. I grew up in a household full of sewers so I actually know quite a bit about different fabrics so this website was pretty easy to make. All in all, micro niche websites are a great way for teens to make money online and are very easy to create. Please share your questions or stories you have with me in the comment section below and good luck!

Make Money Online How to Avoid Scams

Being a college student myself making money online, I know how some stories of people claiming to make "$4,000 a WEEK!" are just too good to be true. Unless you are an established blogger with years of experience, or running an online scam, no one can make that much money online. When you first start off on your internet marketing journey, it is important to keep a few things in mind in order to avoid scams. I have put together a short list that you can reference in order to keep yourself safe!

Dont Send Money to Someone You Dont Know
Have you ever gotten those emails from a "Nigerian Prince" claiming that you are the rightful owner of a large sum of money? All they need from you is your bank account information and social security number. I think at one point or another everyone has gotten this email, and I can guarantee that no one has ever gotten any money out of the deal. In fact people can lose all their savings by giving out their information to a stranger. Same goes for sending money to someone you dont know. Unless you are using a reputable service like Ebay, Fiverr, or Paypal, do NOT send money to someone you dont know if you havent done any research on that person or service. A good way to get a review on somebody is to simply Google that person or service + "review","scam", etc. This will likely turn up some information on whether the person is legit or not.

Check if an Email Address is Real or Not
Reputable companies and services will not email you asking your for personal information like your social security number or bank information. While an email may look like it is from a legit company in your mailbox, it is smart to click "show details" which will show the actual senders email. If Google or a similar company is actually emailing you, then the email will not come from "Sk8rboi@gmail.com."

No Money is Easy Money
If someone tells you that you can make easy money using their service with little to no work, dont believe it. Be smart and check reviews on certain people and services before you give anyone your hard earned money.

Verified Merchant SealWhen in Doubt, Play it Safe!
If you have a weird feeling about a certain person or service, chances are that it is a scam. Trust your gut! Dont fall for scammers actions because the deal sounds so good. Especially as a teen, it can be difficult to differentiate certain deals from one another based on your lack of experience. Many online merchants also have a stamp of approval on their profile which can be seen to the right. If you cannot locate one of these stamps, trust your gut and dont pull the trigger on the deal.

There you have it! Before you give anyone money you should do your research, or ask a parent what they think! Often times deals that sound too good to be true, are! Keep these tips in mind and good luck making money online! Comment below with any questions. Cheers to a happy 2015.

10 Ways to Save Money as a College Student

As a college student myself, I know how difficult it can be to make it through the year with little to no money in your bank account. My freshman year I don’t think that there was a time when I had more than $50 in my account for the entire year. Regardless of what my situation was, it’s a common trend that all college students will experience at one time or another: not having enough money. Here are 10 money saving tips for college students as well as teenagers to make your funds stretch further than you ever thought they could:

1.)  Rent or Buy Used Textbooks
I still do not understand why some people purchase new textbooks every semester. My first semester of college I bought all new textbooks and spent $580. Ever since then I have been renting and buying used and have not spent over $150 a semester. Ebay, Chegg and Amazon are great for saving your money.

2.)  Drink Water
Don’t waste your money on juices and energy drinks. Water is free and a whole lot healthier than those sugar infested beverages.

10 Ways to Save Money as a College Student3.)  Use Campus Transportation
I cannot tell you how many times I have gotten parking tickets on campus because I was too lazy to walk or take the bus to class.

4.)  Don’t Buy Your Music
Free services like Soundcloud, Spotify and Pandora are available so why would you waste $1.29 for a single song with ITunes?

5.)  Ditch The Cable
I had no idea how expensive cable was until I got it for myself. For the cheapest plan on Comcast, it cost me $40 a month, $40 that I really didn’t have to spend. You can watch TV online and play DVDs through your laptop for free.

6.)  Pay Bills Before They Are Due
There are too many times where I simply forgot to pay my rent and was forced to pay a late fee for my stupidity. Just plan to pay your rent and bills at least a week early, every month.

7.)  Skip The Alcohol
Alcohol is expensive, plain and simple. Especially when you’ve had a few drinks and are at a bar with a few friends, you’ll probably end up finding yourself buying drinks for them out of the niceness (drunkenness) of your heart. The solution? Go to the bar without your credit card or just have a couple drinks and vouch not to spend anything else. Or, just don’t drink!

8.)  Avoid Take-Out
Getting take-out is expensive and you will most likely spend at least $10 each and every time. Why not go to the campus cafeteria? Or go shopping and buy your food in bulk so you can save money?

9.)  Skip Expensive Spring Break Trips
So many of my friends have always gone on extravagant spring break trips. While I’m sure they are a ton of fun, they cost a lot of money and you end up forgetting more than you remember.

10.) Avoid Spending Money On the Weekends
This may be the best step you can take to save yourself a lot of money. Whenever I find myself with an overdrawn bank account, it’s usually on a Sunday or Monday after the weekend. Almost all of my purchases are made on the weekends on food, movie tickets, etc. Rather than partaking in costly endeavors you could read a book, play a sport or go for a walk (all free alternatives).

There you have it. Here are some great ways to safe money as a college student that teenagers can use as well. Have any other effective methods to save money? Comment them below and lets have a discussion. Thanks for reading!

How To Buy and Sell Websites to Make 10 000

Within the past year I have discovered a surefire way to make yourself a great income online as a young adult. That method? Selling websites. Everyday new people are joining the internet and have a URL that they would like to purchase. If you head over to Flippa you will find websites being listed for between $20-$25,000 and up. Some of those websites are well-established domains that bring in thousands of dollars a month in ad revenue for users. However, some of the cheaper websites are fairly new, they just have a great domain that the user was able to snatch up and is now selling. The concept of buying and selling websites, otherwise known as website flipping is not new, but it has become a very popular trend for internet marketers over the past year. Want to learn how you can make some money in this industry of buying and selling websites? Find out now!

What to Look For When Buying a Website

Traffic- If no one is visiting the website, then why would I buy it? Sites like Google and Wikipedia are worth so much money, because millions of people visit them each day. The same goes for you when your buying or selling a smaller website. More traffic = More $$$

Revenue- While a site may be getting a lot of traffic, if it is not making any money then why would people want to buy it? Make sure when looking at how much a website makes you look at screenshots for as far back as possible. Sites fluctuate with how much they make each month, so while Site A may have made $4000 last May, that does not mean that Site A is making $4000 each month.

Age of the Domain Name- Google LOVES older, more established websites. When looking at ad postings on Flippa, you will notice that one of the first things they display under every listing is "Established:". People want to buy older websites that have been around for awhile and people know about, not websites that were created 1 month ago with 6 indexed pages. You will notice that older websites always go for more money. College students looking to make money online can take advantage of this by creating a handful of websites at the beginning of the year and continuously adding content throughout the year. Then at the end of the school year you have several established websites that you can make an awesome chunk of change off of, provided you have been offering great content and have been doing effective SEO on the sites.

Social Media Accounts- When pricing websites, social media accounts almost always come into play. Your websites should have active accounts with a decent following. Number of Facebook shares, Tweets, Google +1s and other values can help predict how popular a domain is.

What Should I Do With My Websites?

Once you have your websites there are some tricks that you can do to help your website become established which will make you much more money down the road.

Publish a lot of Content- Google loves content. Not just any content, but unique content. If you are coming up with weekly content that readers love, you will rank better on search engines and ultimately get more traffic and more money. This will fetch you a much higher price as you look to sell the website in the future. You cannot just purchase a site and forget about it, there is some work actually involved.

Have a Good Topic- If you have a website that no one wants to read, then you have the wrong topic. Make sure you pick something that you at least have some knowledge in. You do not want to purchase a website about quantum physics and then have no idea what to write about once you have it. Popular niches that have been know to create a lot of money on Flippa are fitness/health related, technology, food and gaming. As a teen or college student this is your chance to shine as you know more about whats popular in pop culture compared with older adults.

Get Natural Backlinks- The more traffic coming into your blog means the better chances that people will link to your website. The more authority websites linking to yours looks better to Google and search engines. Dont be fooled by BlackHat methods of collecting links. Solid DoFollow backlinks take time to build and there is NO method that will get you on the first page of Google in a week. Dont get discouraged, if you continue to produce quality content people WILL link to it and you will get natural links.

Dont be Afraid to Sell- If after 10 months of having a website you purchased for $100 you get an offer for $5000, dont be afraid to sell the website! Unless you are surely confident that you can fetch more at a later date, take the money when it is there. I had a friend who was offered $12,500 for a Fitness-Niche blog he created, however he did not accept it. A few months later he sold the site for $8000...a $4500 loss!

How Much Should I Buy/Sell My Website For?

When selling your website on Flippa, you should figure out the current value of the site. A simple way to determine this is to do a simple Google search for "how much is my website worth." There are numerous sites that can predict the value of your website based on different data analytics. However, be careful because many of these services often give you a range of values so its best to read some reviews before you stick with a number. A great website that offers you an estimate is www.siteworthit.com. Another great way to determine how much the site should be worth is to compare it to other sites in a similar niche. That way you can get an idea of what past similar sites have gone for and how much you can expect to be making in the upcoming transaction or how much you should be prepared to spend when buying in.

I hope that I have provided you with enough information to help you as you begin the process of buying and selling websites. As always, comment below if you have any questions and thanks for reading!

CashCrate Question and Answer for Teens

First off, if you arrived at this blog via a search engine check out my cashcrate proof of payment for $476.55. If you are a teen and are looking for a ways to make legit money online than this is the site for you.

Okay, so today I thought I would answer a couple questions I have been receiving from teens lately about CashCrate and ways to make money online.

1.) I have been scammed before, what makes cashcrate so different?

Before I joined CashCrate I was just like you. The thing about CashCrate though, is that they actually do pay. I am only 17 years old, yet I have made over $2500 with them in the past year. CashCrate is a great way to earn some extra money when you dont have a lot of time or money to work.

2.) How long should I expect to work if I want to make a lot of money?

That answer depends. If you have some miracle system that will generate you a lot of referrals then all power to you. But for the rest of us, you can expect to work a couple hours each week if you are just completing offers. However, if you want to make the big bucks then you have to spend a lot of time writing articles, submitting them to article directories and just spending time on search engine optimization for your blog/website.

3. I made a blog but I have not gotten any referrals out of it, how come?

This answer is simple. You either picked a bad keyword or you have not spent enough time getting quality backlinks. Believe me, it usually takes about 3 months before you start receiving any good traffic to your website from search engines. Just dont be a lazy teenager and youll be fine.

4. Am I going to receive any junk mail from paid online survey sites?

Yes you will. Thats why I made a junk email when I was completing offers. If you use your real email address than your inbox will be flooded with promotional offers. You will also receive the occasional letter to your house, but those are generally few and far between.

5. How old do I have to be to join paid online survey sites?

Most online survey sites require that you must be 18 years old to join them. However at CashCrate you only have to be 13 and that is why it is perfect for teens looking to make money online.

6. Is there a better way to make money online as a teen?

Im sure there is, but they are probably scams. One site that I know isnt a scam is CashCrate. They have over 1.5 million members and have paid out millions of dollars to their members.
If you have any other questions about paid online survey sites and make money online as a teen just leave a comment and Ill answer it.

Teens Make Money Listening to Music Music Xray Review

Music Xray is a website that allows its users to listen to and review upcoming artists and receive cash rewards. Very similar to Slice the Pie, which I have reviewed in the past in terms of its usability and ability to make cash. Perfect for teens or college students looking to make some extra money online, Music Xray is an awesome program that I have been using in my spare time for the past view months. Click here to sign up and I will take you through the sign-up process:

  • After visiting the website you will click on the link "Sign Up For Free":

  • After clicking the link you will have the option to sign up with your Google, Facebook, Google and Soundcloud account OR by traditional means by picking your own username and password.

  • The next step is to select a "Music Fan" account where you will have the ability to listen to others music and get paid for it.

  • *Facebook is required for joining Music Xray. They will send you songs based on your music interests on your Facebook profile. Dont worry though, they will not post anything on your account without your consent.

  •  You can then select up to 5 additional musical genres in which you are interested in. Rather than picking obscure genres like "Books and Spoken" I would recommend selecting more popular styles like Pop, Country, Hip Hop, etc this way you will receive more opportunities to make money.

  •  After you select your musical genres you will receive emails with songs that you can listen to and get paid for listening to.

While you will not get rich with this program, it is very easy to make yourself an extra $20 a month for doing very little work. Even if you do not enjoy the music that they send you, you can always mute your computer and still get paid. This program, along with Slice the Pie are great ways to make money online as a teen by listening to music. However, the perk to Music Xray is that you do not have to write a review on the songs you listen to, you only have to listen for at least 30 seconds in order to get paid! Best of luck to you all and let me know how you like it!

Why CashCrate

If you have been reading my posts you may have noticed that I always refer to CashCrate when talking about paid online survey sites. There are many reasons for that and I will briefly explain why it is such a great way for teens to make money online.

CashCrate is simply the best when it comes to paid online survey sites. They are free to join, have hundreds of offers (free and trials) being updated daily, and also have a low payout. Not to mention the fact that you only have to be 13 years or older to join which is perfect for teens.

It is hard to find sites that allow 13 year old kids to participate on them, which is why CashCrate is so special. Teens everywhere are always looking for ways to make money online, but are usually unable to find a program that is right for them. I spent months looking for a great way to earn some money online until I tried out CC. Now it is the only site I use for making money on the web.

I have been receiving big checks from CashCrate for a year now. Don’t believe me? Check out my $200.13 CashCrate proof of payment. Other sites that I am a member of don’t pay nearly the amount that cc does. In fact, in their first month alone back in 2006 they paid over $30,000 to their members. Imagine how much they are paying today with over 1.5 million members.

If you want to start making the big bucks on CashCrate I suggest that you check out my post, blogging is the key to getting referrals. In all honesty referrals on CashCrate can make you thousands of dollars on CashCrate….a month! Here is a contest back in May 2009 that shows you how many referrals one member got in a month.

900 referrals translates to about $2000+, which I can imagine would be more than enough for most of you teens. No other paid online survey system even comes close to allowing you to make that much in a single month, which is another reason why cc is is the best.

Just recently a feaure called CashCrate pro was added to CashCrate. It allows you to make several different referral links, and monitor conversions rates and clicks for each link. Do you think that any other program on the internet has this feature? hahaha no. This allows you to see how well each one of your blogs, ads, etc. are performing and is an excellent way to make more money off of your referrals.
You are able to receive your payments from cashcrate in the form of check or direct deposit. Paypal is not available because of fraud in the past which is a bummer.

All in all if you are looking for a way to make money online then CashCrate is by far my number one choice. It has a low payment, low age to join, awesome features, ridiculous referral program and much much more. If you want to maximize your earnings I suggest you read all of my posts and not to mention, get to work!

5 Tips to Use YouTube to Drive Traffic to Your Website

Get Traffic With YoutubeYouTube has established itself as one of the most popular websites in the world since its introduction in 2005. Ranking in at number 3 according to the Alexa Top 500 Global Sites, YouTube receives millions of unique visitors every single day. People watch a staggering 2 billion videos each day and according to YouTube, 24 hours of video is uploaded to the video website every minute. These statistics are absolutely incredible and YouTube has limitless potential in terms of generating traffic to your website or blog.

YouTube is no longer used by kids who are solely looking to watch a funny cat video or various sports highlights. It now serves as a great resource filled with thousands of hours of informational videos. YouTube not only functions as an amazing way to generate ad revenue from people directly watching your videos, but also as a great way to generate traffic to your blog or website. Here are 5 helpful hints to use when you are looking to use YouTube to drive traffic to your blog or website.

1.) Create a High Quality Video
Possibly the most important step in using YouTube to drive traffic to your blog is to create a great video. You don’t need a high budget to create a great video, rather a plan of action, knowledge on your topic and some sort of video editing software. Examples of different kinds or effective videos are DIY (do it yourself) or top 10 list videos. These will encourage people to not only click on your video, but also watch the video in its entirety. Nothing is worse than having someone click on your video only to exit out after 10 seconds due to boredom.

2.) Link in the Video Description
This one seems pretty obvious, but I see people forget to add their URL in their video description more often than not. If you make a popular video, why miss out on potential targeted traffic by forgetting to add a silly thing like your website’s URL? Make sure you add it to the beginning of the video description as it will be the first thing that stands out to the viewer. Also make sure you include some information on your video and be descriptive. You want to make sure you do this, because the more YouTube knows about your video, the more confidently it can rank it for a specific keyword.

3.) Get Traffic to Your Video
If you spend hours in creating an informational video only to receive no traffic to it, you’ll be pretty disappointed in your efforts. Unless you already have a solid subscriber base, you will need to promote your video in order to get some traffic to it. Just like search engine optimization for a website, you can use the same methods to promote your video. This includes adding good tags and keywords to your video description, posting it to social sites like Facebook/Twitter/Google+/etc, or sending your new video out to a mailing list. You can also post your video, granted it is helpful, to online communities like LinkedIn or Ouora. Getting targeted traffic from online communities will also help your video and ultimately your website rank better on search engines.  If you can generate solid traffic to your well-made video and then tell viewers to click on your link to your website, more often than not they will.  This leads us to our next tip.

4.) Tell Them to Click Your Link!
What’s the point of creating a video, putting your link in the description and then not taking the time to tell the viewers that you want them to view your website? Put emphasis on the fact that there is a link to your website in the description and you want them to click on it. If you can create a high-quality, informational video that people want to watch, chances are that your website contains a ton more material that the viewer may be looking for. You can also encourage your viewers to like and subscribe to your video and channel so they will be informed when you come out with additional videos in the future.

5.) Put Your Website URL in Your Actual Video
When using simple video editing software, you should always put your websites URL into the actual video if your main goal is to generate traffic. You should remember that often times videos are shared and embedded onto different websites. This means that your link is being shared and viewed all over the internet and not just on YouTube. Maybe add it as a watermark in the corner of the video, so as not to obstruct the viewers view, but so that they know that it is there. This will also help prevent others from stealing your video and taking credit for it.

There you have it. Make sure you apply all 5 ideas from above when using YouTube to generate traffic to your blog. As a teen it can seen overwhelming when trying to get traffic to your blog, yet these simple, yet effective tips can work wonders for you and your website and help you produce more traffic then you have ever received before creating YouTube videos.

Make Money Online By Growing Your Social Media

Being a blogger and attempting to make money online as a teen can be a tricky subject. Add attempting to get a steady flow of loyal readers on top of that and youve got yourself an even harder obstacle to tackle. If youre looking for an extremely effective way to add readers on top of your search engine optimization efforts, social media is the way to go. In the beginning of the 21st century, social media has seen an incredible boom. To think that Facebook was launched less than 10 years ago and already has close to 1.5 billion users is mind boggling.  What better way to capture readers than to use those stats to your advantage. Here are 5 tips to keep in mind when using social media to boost your blog:

1.) Give people reasons to follow you
If you feel like your in a rut give your followers something fresh, something new. Nothing is worse than drawing in readers with interesting status updates, then completely dropping the ball and forgetting to post for a month...and by that time all your new followers are probably gone. So stay on top of your social media, dont forget to post and when you do, give your followers reasons to follow you.

2.) Start Conversations
Encourage your readers to leave comments and actually respond to them! You dont want your readers to think your account is simply a robot, but instead a real person with real emotions that has actual conversations with readers. By doing this you will build steady relationships with your readers and they will be more likely to share your posts via Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, etc.

3.) Dont be afraid to try new platforms
When I first started my social media efforts I stuck to the two biggest ones, Facebook and Twitter. Now believe me, I had incredible success using those two than before I did. However, once I began using other platforms such as Tumblr, Google Plus and Pinterest I found that I was receiving more traffic than ever. Keep in mind though that you should never sway away from Facebook and Twitter as those are by far the most popular, but by using others as a supplement to those two is the idea Im trying to get at. Just be open to new programs that often come out!

4.) Stay on top of current trends
Adding on to the last tip, make sure that you consistently put in an avid effort to stay on top of the latest trends in social media. You dont want to find your marketing plan come to an end at Facebook and Twitter while another new platform is expanding at an astounding rate and you are left picking your nose. Instead, be open to new ideas and be creative with your efforts, however, ensure that you always have your blogs readers best interest in mind and arent just trying to flood your website with the wrong type of visitors.

5.) Understand your target audience
By understanding your target audience, your status updates will reach more people in a more effective method. For example, this blog is catered towards teens and college students trying to make money online. Do you think a good post would be about how to raise and care for your child? I think you know the answer. How about a post on the latest methods to monetize your blog? Perfect! Make posts that your followers will want to read or else you will just find yourself losing readers faster than you can say "oh no."

Top 5 Ways for Teens to Invest Their Money

As you begin to make money as a teen, you will hopefully start to save some. As you begin to save some money, then youll hopefully start to look into the possibility of investing your money in hopes to make a larger return. Let me start off by saying that investments can be very risky. Even the mo
st seasoned wall-street investors can lose millions of dollars at the drop of the hat, which is why it is so important you only invest with funds you can afford to lose and to make sure that you are a smart investor. The number #1 piece of advice that almost all financial services tell you is to make sure that you pay off your debt, such as student loans, before you begin investing. Sure, it may sound cool to have the possibility to turn your $5,000 into $7,000 after a year, but that initial $5,000 can also turn into $0. Then you will be stuck with $0 as well as debt that will continue to grow due to interest. Now that you have that in mind, here are some great ways that you can begin to invest, granted you have all of your debt paid off, with a small amount of money while being a teen, college student, or young adult.

1.) Make a Fantasy Account
The best way to learn about the world of investing is to make a fantasy account. Imagine having $100,000 and allocate that money to various investments. Track your progress over the course of a year and along the way you are sure to learn about the world of business or finance. A great way to do this is to perform this with a couple of close friends or your parents. That way you will have someone to talk about these investments with and learn from. Also, many brokerage accounts offer services where you can trade pretend money for free, which will help you gain knowledge on various investments and what not to do when it comes time to investing real money.

2.) Put Your Money Into a Savings Account
Probably the best advice I can give you when looking to invest your money as a teen is to put it into a savings account. When investing with small amounts of money the potential returns are very small. For example, say you invest $1,000 into a particular company. Dont expect at the end of that year to have doubled your money and have $2,000. A 100% return on a given year is incredibly rare and only happens to the luckiest of investors. A great strategy to have is to take the money that you are planning on investing with, putting it into a savings account for a year, and then making a fantasy investing account so you can learn which investments work and dont work. At the end of that year, you will have more money to invest with and a better understanding of potential investments.

3.) Invest in the Stock Market
Investing in the stock market can be fairly risky, however with the right plan you can minimize your potential loses. It is important to use a fantasy account first so that you understand the ups and downs of the market before you put any real money at risk. It is nearly impossible to predict the direction of a stock and many people invest in a company solely based on speculation of how they will perform in the future. In order to open your own brokerage account you need to be 18 years old, however with your parents permission, they can open up a custodial account for you if you arent yet of age. When investing, keep in mind that you should be investing for long-term gain. Over long periods of time, returns in the stock market have averaged about 10% per year. Some great low-no minimum brokerage accounts that you can check out are Etrade, TD Ameritrade and Trade Monster.

4.) Invest in a Website
With $1,000 you can build a pretty amazing website with a lot of great content on it. You can pay others to design your website, perform SEO for it, write articles for it, get a custom logo and many others all with virtually no work on your end. Fact of the matter is that the only money I put into this website is for the URL and hosting which is only about $10/year and I make easily $1,000 a year with it. With a $1,000 you could build a website on a niche that you are knowledgable on and possibly make some huge returns. Or you could buy 40-50 micro niche sites and make a profit $10-$20 a month on EACH one. I have been investing for roughly 5 years now, in both the stock market and with mutual funds, and I have found that internet marketing blows them all out of the water. It is a lot less risky and a lot easier to predict how much money you expect to make in a given month.

5.) Invest in a Mutual Fund
Investing in individual stocks can be risky because you can lose a ton of money if the company you are investing with comes out with a bad earnings report, or worse, goes bankrupt. Mutual funds are  investment pools run by individuals. Even if you only have a couple thousand dollars to invest, a mutual funds spreads your money out over several different stocks representing different companies. Check out Yahoo Finance or Morningstar to research various mutual funds that you can invest in. Some high earning mutual funds can make you upwards of a 20% return each year.

When I was 18 I invested $1,000 I had made waiting tables into a tech company without doing any research. The company tanked and I eventually lost $500. Is Cashcrate a scam

Lately I have been hearing a lot of people online calling the website Cashcrate a scam. And no matter how hard I try to convince them otherwise they still seem to think that it is a waste of time. Waste of time? I have been making money like this each and every month over the past 2 years....
$517.83

One of the main reasons that people think that CashCrate is a scam is that for some reason people think that they are just giving out money for free. Trust me, the money they give out isnt free, you are working for it just like any other job. Nothing in life is free and I love the people that think surveys sites just give out "free money".

The direct deposit statement I posted above is money straight from CashCrate that goes directly into my bank account every week. Now that money certainly isnt "free" and I had to work pretty hard to get that kind of money. Now in order to get started you need to create a unique blog/website like I have stated so many times in previous posts. As a teen I know it can seem pretty intimidating to go out and purchase your own url, but dont worry. There are many free blogging platforms that are extremely easy to set up and use. Make sure that your blog is unique and has well written content. There are thousands of websites out there promoting CashCrate so you have to make sure that yours sticks out from the crowd.

All in all, Cashcrate certainly is not a scam. It is a real company that has real members like me. They have paid out over 4 million dollars since they started back in 2006. I have received thousands of real dollars from them over the past 2 years. Now 99% of you reading this will probably sign up, maybe complete an offer and call it quits. Be that 1%!!! If you actually read the previous content I have written and stick to my advice you will be well on your way to earning money online as a teen.

Happy New Year Everyone!

College Students and Teens Make Extra Money Online For the Summer

As the school years come to an end, most teens and college students are faced with finding a job that pays minimum wage or slightly above. That task alone can prove to be very difficult as companies are hiring less and less adolescents and hiring more adults to fill the same roles. If and once you find a job theres a good chance that it will be for under $8 an hour minus taxes. So youll be wasting away your summer working 30-40 hour weeks, making less than $200 a week. While I absolutely agree that work experience is extremely important in growing and maturing as a person, I dont agree that kids should be busting their asses and making pocket change in the process. Fortunately for you, there are numerous legitimate ways to supplement your summer income by partaking in online endeavors. Here are some ways that you can spend your summer downtime and make some sweet cash in the process.

1.) Online Survey Sites
By far the best way to make money online without having to spend any of your own is with paid online survey sites. They allow you to fill out easy surveys, watch videos, play games, etc. all while making some easy money in the process. If you go back and read some of my older posts you will learn how to truly maximize your profits on these websites by taking advantage of referral programs. For the past few years I have been making between $500-$1000 a month on these websites and my income only continues to go up. Some of the best websites are Cashcrate, SwagBucks, and SquishyCash. Check out some of my older posts to get you started:

Blogging is the Key to Getting Referrals

Article Marketing Works

2.) Invest!
If youre in college now is the time to really start doing some research on potential investments. Bonds, mutual funds, stocks or index funds all offer a great opportunity to further grow your income. The sooner you start, the more experience you will gain and the better off your future self will be. A great article to check out is "How to invest $20, $100, and $1000 (and more)" over at the Motley Fool, give it a read if your interested! I also recommend you check out one of my older posts,  "Turn $500 into $5000 with Penny Stocks." Educate yourself. People dont make money in this life by being dumb. The more you learn, the better off you will be. Its never too early. Im able to invest the money I earn from survey sites, and earn thousands each year off investing.

3.) Sell Your Stuff!
Chances are youve got a lot of old crap laying around in your room. From video games to sports cards, there is always someone out there that will pay money for your things. Recently, I was able to sell some of my old Lacoste Polos that I had grown out of for over $240 on Ebay. They had just been sitting in my closet, unworn for years and I was able to turn those shirts into some cash for my back pocket!

There you have it. Start making some extra money online today as a teen or college student. Best of luck!

Cheers
